The Prior Lyons Family

My husband and I have been married for 1 year. We met 3 years ago through a close college friend. A year spent dating, another year engaged and planning the wedding, and now one year of marriage. The next logical step of course is starting a family!

Adoption has been something I have been interested in since I was in college. I am unsure if I am able to get pregnant or not, but that is not my motivation for adopting. I love children and the joy they bring to life. I have always wanted to have a large family but I missed the pregnancy desire gene and I'm okay with that. Adoption has always seemed like the logical way to start my family.

I don't believe the adoption decision was the same for my husband. He would enjoy having a pregnant wife. Luckily he loves me and is totally on board with adoption. Jon definitely wants kids and he sees nobility in adoption. He was the one who did the first research and got us into the process but more on that later.

I am an accountant during the day but have many other activities I enjoy. In the evenings I enjoy running with Maggie and have currently finished 21 races from 5K's to Half Marathons. I've even completed 1 sprint triathlon. Currently I am working on increasing my running speed to improve my time. I also enjoy reading, scrapbooking, and of course hanging out with friends and family.

Jon is a liquor sales rep and has recently found an interest in home brewing. Currently he has 3 batches in process! He also enjoy's playing racquetball, lifting weights at the gym, happy hour with friends, and hanging out at family parties.

As a couple we enjoy hiking with our dog, Maggie, traveling to new places both within and outside of the country, trying new things, socializing with friends, attending family parties, and generally being goofy with each other.
